Officer Awards at 03/07/2023 Council Meeting
During the City of Hiram's last Council Meeting we gave out several awards to some of our wonderful officers in the Hiram Police Department. Officer Andre Morrison, Sergeant Matthew Winfrey, Officer Wyatt McCall, and Detective David McCloud received Life-Saving Commendations due to the quick administering of NARCAN to overdose victims. We are proud of their commitment to our community!
Also during the meeting, Officer Wyatt McCall, Officer Shawn Alarid, and Sergeant David Calhoun received Life-Saving Commendations for their bravery during a house fire last December. These men collectively helped to rescue a young child, and their service directly led to that child’s life being saved. There are no words to properly express our community’s gratitude to these officers.
