Meetings

  • Regular Session Council meetings - First Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted
  • Council Chambers are located at the Hiram Community Center, 219 Main Street, Hiram
  • Work Sessions will normally be scheduled on a Tuesday, either one or two weeks prior to the date of the next Regular Session.  Work Sessions will be called as is necessary depending on the business of the Governing Authority and will be posted as soon as scheduled. Work Sessions will begin at 6:00pm and will be held in the City Hall Training Room, 217 Main Street, Hiram - Second Floor.

Individuals with disabilities who require certain accommodations in order to allow them to observe and/or participate in a meeting, or who have questions regarding the accessibility of a meeting or the facilities, are required to contact the City Clerk at (770) 943-3726, ext. 2025 promptly (a week’s notice is preferred) to allow the City to make reasonable accommodations for those persons.

Council Information
The City Council governs many City functions and is responsible for setting policy, approving the City budget, and enacting municipal ordinances. The City Council also appoints the Mayor Pro Tem, City Attorney and City Clerk.

Council members represent the City by responding to inquiries, suggestions, and complaints. If you would like to address the City Council, please contact the City Clerk to be placed on the agenda.
